What EM•1® is — and how it differs from other biological inputs
EM•1® Microbial Inoculant is the original Effective Microorganisms® formula, developed by Professor Teruo Higa at the University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa, Japan in the early 1980s and manufactured in the United States exclusively by EMRO USA under direct authorization from EM Research Organization, Inc. (Japan).
It contains three groups of naturally occurring microorganisms — lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, and photosynthetic bacteria — co-fermented into a stable, synergistic liquid culture.
